a card for Kayla

I wanted to quickly share a card I made for Kayla, a sweet young lady who has overcome so much at such a young age. Please take a moment and visit Card Cupids to read more about darling Kayla and get to know the wonderful team that is Card Cupids.

Here's the card I made for Kayla:

If you guys can, please consider contributing a card for these adorable children who have gone through such difficulties too early in their young lives.

a special card for a special boy

I am having a productive blog day today :)

This evening I was busy creating a special card for a very special boy named Eddie.
Eddie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia(ALL) at the age of 2. Until recently, he was an active 5 year old, attending school and playing sports. However, shortly after 2 years of  being in remission the cancer returned.
Please visit Card Cupids for more information about Eddie and the other adorable children this wonderful charity is collecting cards for.
For me personally, knowing I can make a child smile just by making a card is priceless.

Here's what I made for Eddie, isn't it cheerful?

Take care everyone, and thank you for the new followers who joined my blog today. I am a happy girl :)

My Craft Space

Good morning everyone!!!!
It's another beautiful sunny day in Southern California :o)

Today I thought I'd share my craft space. My husband and I share an office so I face one wall, and he's behind me facing the other wall.

This is my part of the office. Everything I need is within arms' reach.
My husband bought me the ladder shelf for my birthday in July and it's perfect for holding my Expression ,other crafting essentials, and of course family memories :)

I absolutely LOVE this bin. I got it at Target a few months ago on sale for less than 10$!!! I have so much stuff in there, with room for more!!
The cutter I use is CARL rotary trimmer I purchased from Staples. I really like it. You can clearly see where you are cutting and I have yet to replace the blade (I've had it for about 4-5 months)
Another essential is my Martha Stewart Score board, it's a must have for any crafter, in my opinion :)

So here are all my stacks of paper, Cricut cartridges, inks, buttons, eyelets, brads and other small nik naks. I store all my ribbons in the super cute orange box ;)

That's my 'show & tell' for today (^..^)

Wishing everyone a great week.

Oh, I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week!!! I am sooooo excited :)

Card Progress

Here's my progress on the Christmas cards my darling friend Diane asked me to design for her.
This is what I have...so far....
I am currently working on additional cards, but I wanted to share what I accomplished this weekend.

I wish I could just sit at my desk and craft ALL day, but I will end up with a dirty house, huge piles of laundry and a hungry family lol

Wishing everyone a blessed week :)

Hooray for Friday

Happy Friday!!! I thought the weekend will never come!
First, I'd like to thank Stephanie at Card Cupids for making me a member on her design team.
I'm very grateful to be a part of such a wonderful charity.

Second, my good friend Diane, asked me to make Christmas cards for her to send out for the holidays!!! Hooray :) I have 4 done so far (out of 25).
I am also planning to work on a few cards for the children's charity.
But all that will have to wait until I get home tomorrow evening.
My sis-in-law, my daughter Ashley, & I will be heading out for a day of shopping at the Outlets & I'll see if I can sneak a trip to Joanns :)
I will be a busy bee this weekend.

Also, I'd like to thank everyone who joined my blog, it's so wonderful to meet new friends with creative passion. You guys have amazing blogs filled with great ideas!!!

Card Cupids

Today I happened to come across a blog I thought we could all contribute to.
Its for a great cause; bringing smiles and good wishes to children who are battling illnesses.
The folks at Card Cupids are doing such an amazing job!
Their mission is to spread cheer and comfort to needy and ill children.
As a mother, I can't begin to imagine the difficult road these young kids & their families are battling, and I'm sure that a card, even from a complete stranger, will help brighten their day.

With that in mind, I just had to make a card.

This little squirrel is for a 3 year old named Christina. She has been diagnosed with Muenke Syndrome, Bicoronal Craniosynostosis, Developmental Delays, hearing loss & narrow brain ventricles.

I hope this will bring some joy to Christina. I truly enjoyed making this card for a very special girl :)

Momo's Tuesday Challenge

Momo is having another Tuesday Challenge :) Yay!
This weeks' theme is to make a card with some kind of embossing. It can be heat embossing or using your cuttlebug.
Here is my entry:

What do you think?
I was feeling festive, and Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday :)

Kathy's Cozies

Hello everyone
Today I purchased a cozie from the very talented Kathy :)

I was introduced to Kathy & her lovely cozies thru Made By Momo on one of her blog hops.
CLICK HERE to check out Kathy's work and maybe even purchase your very own cozie.

It's taking me a little while to get my blog going...it can be very time consuming, especially after a long day at work, prep dinner, tidy up the house & keeping up to date with my teenage girl ;)

Thanks for stopping by :o)
